You can use CTRL + F to search the Directory for any name, service, etc. Press the 'F' key while holding down the 'CTRL' key...then type the name or service you are looking for into the box that appears...then click Find or Find Next to go to the first (or next) instance of the word you are looking for (you can use this trick on any web page). If what you find isn't what you seek, keep pressing Find Next until you either succeed or run out of records. If your search doesn't work, double-check your typing and/or choose a related word to search on.
In general, the simpler the search word(s) you use, the more likely you'll find a match. For instance, instead of typing 'Carpentry" (which will not find 'Carpenter'), try using just 'Carpent.' This will find all records with 'Carpent' in their contents, including either 'Carpentry' or 'Carpenter.' By using the fewest characters that still identify what you are looking for, you will find more variations on your search and more misspelled entries ('Carpent' will find the misspelled word 'Carpentery'). Similarly, leave the 's' off plural words in case someone entered the service as singular.
On the other hand, if your search finds too many records, try making the search word(s) more specific. For instance, searching for 'House' will find both 'House Cleaning' and 'House Repair.' Adding the second word (e.g., 'Repair') will narrow your search -- at the same time, it will also miss 'House Repare.' Try 'House Rep' to refine your search while still allowing for some spelling variations. Also, don't forget synonyms -- try Home if House doesn't give you results (this is a trick example, as the current category name is Home Improvement/Repair). A seasoned searcher approaches searching as a game, thusly preserving mental energy that would otherwise be lost to frustration and/or despair.
If your searches keep coming up empty or leading you on 'wild goose chases,' you can always use the scroll bar on the right side of your screen to search manually through the Directory. Maybe not the fanciest method, but probably the surest and you might find something you didn't know you were looking for. Good Luck!!
